In a society where progress and patriarchy often collide, Nirvik Nari emerges as a powerful platform to celebrate fearless women and champion gender equality. Despite Nepal’s progressive Constitution that guarantees women’s rights, deep-rooted challenges in health, education, and economic inclusion persist. While a few women have broken barriers to reach leadership roles, many are still denied basic opportunities. Only 19% of women own property, and female literacy trails behind at 70%. Labor market access is also unequal, with just 27% of women participating compared to 54% of men. Nirvik Nari aims to spotlight these realities, challenge societal norms, and inspire action for a more just and inclusive future.
