Mar 23 2026, KathmanduIn a time when aspirations for progress often confront deeply entrenched patriarchal norms, Nirvik Nari 2026 stands as a bold platform dedicated to honoring fearless women and advancing the cause of gender equality. Although Nepal’s Constitution guarantees equal rights for women, significant gaps remain in health, education, property ownership, and economic participation. While some women have shattered glass ceilings and risen to positions of leadership, countless others continue to face systemic barriers that limit their access to basic opportunities. Only a small percentage of women own property, female literacy rates remain lower than men’s, and participation in the labor force reflects persistent inequality. Nirvik Nari 2026 seeks to bring these realities to the forefront—sparking dialogue, challenging long-standing social norms, and inspiring collective action toward a more equitable, inclusive, and empowered future for women across Nepal.

We two companies are also going through a complicated situation. In India and Bangladesh, the telecom sector is flourishing, but in Nepal, it seems to be going in the opposite direction. We don't have much time, the future is going to be digital and the telecommunication industry is its enabler, so we have to save this sector.”
“From the Lichhavi era to the present, women have been at the heart of every social transformation. While they have access to many resources, they still lack control. Women propel society forward and play a vital role in preserving culture and identity.”
“Now, once again, there are doubts about whether the airport will operate at full capacity. Some are claiming that the investment has gone to waste. But this is not true. We will soon prove that it will operate at full capacity. ”
“While the world has advanced to 5G, Nepal’s federalism is still functioning on the 2G stage. The system remains skeletal, lacking the limbs and brain required for effective functioning. Constitutional provisions on exclusive and shared rights require clarity and proper implementation to address inefficiencies.”
“Reforms in the judiciary are imperative. It is only through these reforms that we can overcome public discontent. If each sector undergoes improvement, prosperity will naturally follow, illuminating and beautifying the nation. ”
